NJ, Bishops, ch ch ch changes

So, in response to several emails and many requests here is a long awaited and over due update on the Front.

First, we have some shows to let you know about. . . .

Friday May 15th Camp Jam in the Pines www.campjam.org

Saturday June 20th Bishops Lounge Noho.

Why the light schedule? Why are these shows extra special?

Well, we have been going through some changes as of late. Over the past few months we have been taking some time off from the road and from playing in general. Several things have come out of this.

First, The Amity Front is now totally DIY-independent. We are now booking our own shows.

Second, Levin, our brother in arms, founding member, “lead” guitar player, has decided to go to grad school. Because of the intense schedule and commitment, he has decided to leave as an active member. He will be missed. We wish him well and hope everything works out. We are all still friends, no Behind The Music dish here. Sorry. Levin, we salute you.

Third, we are carrying on as a quartet. We are mega pumped about this. As sad as we are to see Levin go, we are really digging the new sounds we are getting. This is a chance for us to really re think music and performance in general and it has been really fun.

So, these shows are important because they are, respectively, the last show with Levin, (NJ) and the first show as a four piece (Bishops).

And, thanks to everyone who came out to the 11’s. It was a party. Almost too much party. But it was super fun. Thanks to Rusty Belle, Pariah Beat and Avi and Celia for rocking the house. Lets do it again.

In closing, we hope that everyone following this at all is, like us, both sad AND excited about the changes the last few months have brought. Come and see us for yourself and decide. Looking forward to seeing you all, and oh yeah, any suggestions on where we should play and who with? We have a new “cool shows with cool bands only” policy going on now. Good to here from you all, -TAF
