The End (?)

Yes, strange and sad to say but there it is. As it stands now we will be no longer playing as The Amity Front. With the departure of 2 members we have decided that it is time to call it a day.

Thank you everyone for your YEARS of support, well wishes and good times. We will truly miss this but it is time to move on. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

You will have 2 more chances to catch us live. The first is

THIS SATURDAY JUNE 20th At BISHOPS LOUNGE

This will be, for all intents and purposes, our last Northampton show.

The second is TBA but most likely Saturday July 11th. Details are still being worked out but we think it will be a fantastic send off and we will let you know as soon as things are final.

As for this site and our mailing list, we are not sure what to do with it at this time but would like to keep it updated from time to time with what the members are up to. We are all still working on, playing, producing music and other fun things that we would like to tell you about. You can check it out or not. And, if you know anyone who wants a band van, shoot us an email. Until next time, The Amity Front.

NJ, Bishops, ch ch ch changes

So, in response to several emails and many requests here is a long awaited and over due update on the Front.

First, we have some shows to let you know about. . . .

Friday May 15th Camp Jam in the Pines www.campjam.org

Saturday June 20th Bishops Lounge Noho.

Why the light schedule? Why are these shows extra special?

Well, we have been going through some changes as of late. Over the past few months we have been taking some time off from the road and from playing in general. Several things have come out of this.

First, The Amity Front is now totally DIY-independent. We are now booking our own shows.

Second, Levin, our brother in arms, founding member, “lead” guitar player, has decided to go to grad school. Because of the intense schedule and commitment, he has decided to leave as an active member. He will be missed. We wish him well and hope everything works out. We are all still friends, no Behind The Music dish here. Sorry. Levin, we salute you.

Third, we are carrying on as a quartet. We are mega pumped about this. As sad as we are to see Levin go, we are really digging the new sounds we are getting. This is a chance for us to really re think music and performance in general and it has been really fun.

So, these shows are important because they are, respectively, the last show with Levin, (NJ) and the first show as a four piece (Bishops).

And, thanks to everyone who came out to the 11’s. It was a party. Almost too much party. But it was super fun. Thanks to Rusty Belle, Pariah Beat and Avi and Celia for rocking the house. Lets do it again.

In closing, we hope that everyone following this at all is, like us, both sad AND excited about the changes the last few months have brought. Come and see us for yourself and decide. Looking forward to seeing you all, and oh yeah, any suggestions on where we should play and who with? We have a new “cool shows with cool bands only” policy going on now. Good to here from you all, -TAF

The 11’s with friends Sat May 9th 9pm

Hi everyone, our next show is at the 11’s in Northampton. Its a cool room for rocking, somewhere in between Bishops and The Iron Horse. It has good sound and plenty of room. Were really excited to share the night with favorites Rusty Belle and new friends Pariah Beat. There will also be a few mini sets by Avi and Celia if you need another reason to come out. We are really excited to not only play but share the night with some great bands. This is going to be a really fun show. So, tell your friends and come party with us.

The night will run as follows. Hours sets for Pariah Beat, Rusty Belle and The Amity Front.

900pm Avi and Celia

940pm Pariah Beat

1055pm Rusty Belle

1210am Avi and Celia

1240-curfew The Amity Front

We also have some more local shows coming up and an appearance at Camp Jam in NJ. Camping, fun and late night music on an outdoor stage. Also, more details to come about a special acoustic show at Sierra Grill.

Take care, TAF
